ATV Tire Maintenance Tips: Best Practices

We all know that proper inflation is one of the cornerstones of ensuring peak performance of your ATV tires. Today we'd like to take some time to review some other ATV tire maintenance tips that may seem obvious, yet aren't always practiced.

Understand your ATV's load limits; never exceed them. Overloading not only puts excess pressure on your tires, but it is dangerous, especially when navigating sharp corners. An overloaded vehicle burns fuel faster, making your tires susceptible to punctures.

Avoid excessive tire spinning, particularly on ice, snow or sand. The force created by a free-spinning tire can trigger a tire explosion. Should you find yourself spinning, try to slowly rock your ATV backward or forward to free the vehicle.
