Adjusting to New ATV Tires
August 1, 2017
Tips & Advice
Trying out new tires is a sensation quite unlike any other. For the ATV enthusiast, the impact is immediately felt: better handling, greater acceleration, and increased grip in rough and rocky terrain. Everything a rider requires.
But it's precisely this excitement than can contribute to reckless accidents. In order to avoid undue injury, we recommend taking precautions when breaking in your new ATV tires. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Your brand new tires, even if they're the same make and model, will handle very differently from the previous set. Understand that grip will be vastly different.
Handling may be slightly better or more difficult.
Modify your riding behavior accordingly. Brake, accelerate and corner with caution.
And always wear the appropriate safety gear.
Be safe, and enjoy your new tires!
